Starbucks and the
HandsOn Network have joined hands to promote a national service campaign to raise one million hours of volunteer service across the nation. The program known as "I'm In" calls for volunteers to pledge of five hours of community service.
The HandsOn Network is the largest volunteer and citizen action network
in the nation. The organization's mission is to inspire, equip, and
mobilize people to take action that changes the world.
As part of
Starbucks Shared Planet initiative, Starbucks will reward volunteers with free tall brewed cup of coffee. The pledge phase kicks off Wednesday, January 21 and runs through Sunday, January 25.
You can join "I'm In" at participating Starbucks coffee shops or online at pledge5.starbucks.com. Volunteers can track their hours online and find local opportunities for community service through the HandsOn Network.
Whether or not you drink coffee, like, or dislike Starbucks, don't overlook the work or opportunity to make a difference in someone's life offered by the
HandsOnNetwork.
