Business travel always has it's challenges, but whether you're crossing the country or crossing the street, it's who you meet that makes it all interesting. This is not your typical travel blog. Consider it part travelogue, part biz info, sprinkled with a fair share of technology for travel geeks, and topped with profiles of people met along the way.

The Naming of a Blog
The name of this blog grew out of working with "road runners" from a university admissions office. When they'd return to the office after six weeks of travel, a common thread among them was the reaction they got from hosts and hostesses at restaurants whenever they said "Table for one." 

Since one of my early biz travel experiences mirrored theirs I chose it as the kickoff entry for the launch of this site. (See the first entry, "Dinner Time" about my own "table for one" experience.)
